Unfortunately, We’ve learned a lot about lice treatment over the years. We tackle it with several fronts and have always gotten rid of them within a couple days of treatment and with no recurring cases. We start by applying olive oil with tea tree and rosemary essential oils, completely drenching the hair all the way to the scalp. Put on a hair cap, let it sit for a few hours or overnight, then pick through with a lice comb, I prefer the metal ones. Wipe comb on paper towel after each swipe, looking carefully for any little oblong shape or critter. Dip comb in boiling water ( I like to make sure the dead! Brutal, I know!) then repeat till you’ve done the whole head. It’s important to know that the critters lay eggs around the nape of the neck or behind the ears. But the can lay anywhere just pay special attention to those areas. Once you have picked through and feel like there’s nothing left, wash hair using this shampoo. Do this till you see no more and a couple days beyond that just to be sure. Treat everyone in the household or who’s been in contact. We only had to do this routine for 3 days as we seemed to get they only critter on day one. We continued washing everyday using the shampoo for a week then again 14 days later for a couple days just to be sure they did not hatch any eggs we might have missed. This process works!! You should have them gone in a couple days with a little extra work and attention . I hope this helps someone, we have had friends who have had recurrence after recurrence, I don’t think that is necessary if you do your due diligence at the very start. It’s a pain! And you definitely don’t want to share these so we usually avoid contact with anyone until we know there’s no more . Oh. One more biggie! You MUST wash & dry all bedding and toss pillows, stuffed animals ... in the dryer for the heat to kill the little boogers. Vacuum the rooms you know the person was in before you knew they had it. I know it sounds like a lot, but if you have ever had fleas this is the same deal, you have to be diligent to get rid of them. It is worth it to eradicate them quickly. Just get into battle mode and get it done. We like this shampoo, it’s not harsh on the hair and it smells good, not toxic to humans and it works!!
