I tried this out hoping that it would be a great replacement for "Asepxia, Medicated Acne Face Wash Facial Cleanser for Pimples and Blackheads with 3 Sulfur" that appears to have been discontinued. It is the best option that I have found in the regard, and I have tried a few other options that weren't even close to being as effective. If you respond well to sulfur based cleansers you will likely be pleased with this cleanser. I love it! I do not have acne, but can be prone to congestion related to dryness = blocked pores. If that's you too, then I think you'll love this as well. The formula here is very nice and conveniently packaged. Unlike a bar soap, this lasts longer and has cleaner application, a smaller vanity footprint, and a more travel friendly nature. You get 2 sponges, though the first one I began with is still going strong and shows no signs of wearing out before the jar is empty. You wet the sponge, swirl across the top of the jar until you have a little lather, and then massage across your skin. This continues to lather up very nicely the more you massage your face and leaves the skin feeling super clean but not tight or dry. It does a great job of clearing pores, removing makeup, and prepping skin for serums.I confidently recommend this product for others with skin similar to my own. For reference I am 40+ with fair, freckled, normal to dry combination skin, that reddens easily, and is prone to perioral infection. My skin also responds well to Vitamin C and/or any anti-inflammatory. My skin does not like oils (except sea buckhorn) or retinoids.
