I have oily hair, not excessively, but when I go a day without washing my hair you can tell the oil builds up a little.I used it after a day in-between washing my hair and it did a great job of cleaning without stripping my hair. My hair is to the lower part of my back and I only needed three pumps of the shampoo. I massaged it into my scalp as directed and rinsed (which is how the rest of my hair was cleaned). I have had some shampoos really strip my hair but this one did not. The smell was nice, nothing strong or overpowering. I used my own conditioner and it seemed to pair well with my moisturizing shampoo.It does say not to use it more then three times weekly. The shampoo is really think and one bottle is going to last you a long time! This might be nice to have around just to use once in a while just to clean up your hair. I like how it worked very well.
