the oil press is great. so is this mount.Love the durability and construction. Definitely a well made piece of machinery. It works like it should! We have used this to make seed oil and our own nut butters. BEST NUT BUTTERS EVER. Take some time and sort out the end cap to get the right consistency.Basically, I think you should buy this mill. I got nothing but good things to say about the machine. The instructions and "insight" I have found to be somewhat lacking, and I am tired to watching online videos that don't tell me what I want to know anyways. The seed oil - that's a new game. If you are new to the grind-your-own-seed-game, here are my comments on this mill, including some pointed comments to the manufacturer, who I hope reads this and considers my asks:1) Figure out how to get your seeds warm. The concept of "no heat" doesn't really apply for some of the seeds we have tried (hemp & flax). You need some heat to help get the oil out. The lamp deal - used it once and it made the barrel so hot it required wearing gloves. Overall not the best IMHO but I plan on figuring it out. I heated my seeds up in the oven on very low heat, and that helped.2) The use of a typical plastic bottle is cool - I cut one up and it works fine, but the bottle doesn't stay upright with a lot of seed in it, so get some wire or rubber bands and strap that bottle on, or you might find yourself cleaning up a lot of seed off the floor/counter. If the manufacturer is reading this - a secondary plastic adaptor that fits one or two standard thread patterns for bottles, and can fit snuggly into the opening would be a welcome accessory. That, or some clip mechanism to lock the bottle down.3) Cleaning - soak the end cap in hot water - don't try to scrape off the material - its on there like concrete. Same with the rest of it. Warm soapy water, soak, scrub, DRY, oil it to keep from rusting, store it.4) Oil slot opening - the location back on the barrel, in between the support and the oil lamp, is small. Its hard to get any sort of a container in there. Make sure you find something that fits or is flexible and try it a few times, before it gets full of oil. Manufacturer comment - how about a funnel that I can then stick a piece of tubing onto it and drop it off the counter into a larger container on the floor? I will rig one up and post it later...5) The clamps - if you bought the mounting kit, you will get big lag bolts and come c-clamps. The lag bolts - lets just say they will work great in a garage workbench, or some other surface that may not be your countertop. The c-clamps are decent quality, but they are difficult to turn tight enough because the handles are small and plastic. Imagine trying to keep tightening small handles with oily hands while you are trying to turn a crank with some serious torque. Not ideal. Recommend you go and get some ratchet clamps with a decent ratchet system if you go this route.Overall a great product and I am happy I bought it.heavyWell made quality
