I received pear instead of plumeria, so I can’t tell you how it smells but the pear is great!! The oils smell great and I like spending a few dollars first to see if I like the scents before buying a bigger bottle.This smells just like the old bath and body plumeria lotion. Which was one of my favorites. I actually purchased this to use in my heart diffuser locket pendant necklace from The bliss company so I can use it as a perfume, but without it actually touching my sensitive skin. I think I will try it out tomorrow. It smelled really good when I opened it.It smells really good I ended up using it in my necklace. It just reminds exactly how the original bath and body plumeria smells. I know sometimes bath and body brings back scents but nothing ever smells exactly the same. This at least to me smells exactly like the original scent from years ago. So if you liked that one you will love this oilI had it on today and it has lasted all day long with about 3 drops on my diffuser necklace felt like heart that goes in the pendant. It has been close to 12 hours and I can still smell it. It is not overly powering where it will give a headache just very nice floral like scent.I like it. It's not quite as pure as some other plumeria oil I got from a renaissance festival several years ago but it is good. Plumeria is heavenly. You will be happy you bought it. I am thinking of adding some to my new alarm clock that simulates the sunrise for a little bliss added to my morning routine. The heat of the lamp will release the scent if I drop some oil on the top occasionally.This fragrance oil smells like an oil that you would put in one of those heating lamps. It's more sweet than floral, and almost synthetic smelling. I have never smelled a plumeria flower before, so I can't say if it smells like a plumeria. I've put it in a carrier oil to dilute it and see if it smells good as a body fragrance, but I don't think this fits as one. I will try to make use of it by putting it in candles, but it wasn't the fragrance I was looking for (as compared to other plumeria fragrances I've smelled)!It smells a little like plumeria. It woks when putting it in hand sanitizer, anything else such as a diffuser or cream does not work because the smell is too weak.I bought this because it's one of my favorite smells. I've smelled real Plumeria and I find this to be pretty darn close to the real thing. Out of the bottle it smells a little heavy. I put it in a diffuser and once it dissipated, it had more of the fresh, distinctive smell that I was hoping for.The smell is good even if the real plumeria has totally another cent... it is a strong oil, 3 drops will perfume the whole room. I still have some doubt concerning the nature of this essential oil, I'm very use to aromatherapy, I do have numerous HO that I regularly use to heal the whole family (AZ/Aroma) but this particular one, for the first time gave me an headache.I put this into my coconut oil that I use as sun tan oil, plus put in my hair and also as a body oil after showering. The original coconut oil I used already had Plumeria in it and it was wonderful but not available anymore. It took me a long time to find a product that would match what I used to have and this is it!! This oil definitely does have Plumeria fragrance. I am completely happy with this and will be ordering more.
